This new report examines how men and women in middle and senior management positions define leadership, with a particular focus on the gendered differences in leadership perceptions. This is critical, as perceptions of power, among other factors, affect the gender gap in leadership.

EQUALS Research Coalition, members conducted an analysis of the state of sex-disaggregated information and communications technology (ICT) data in Africa in international databases. This analysis builds on the inaugural 2019 EQUALS Research Coalition Report in which Chapter 6 covered “The state of sex- disaggregated data” in ICT Access, Skills, Leadership, and the Dark Side of ICT.​ Lead partners: African Development Bank Group, Research ICT Africa, and Data2X

The handbook provides 1) guidance on how to take concrete actions and 2) insights to help policymakers understand how to best influence policy making processes and advocate for gender equality. The handbook also offers an initial actionable checklist for policymakers on how to set up policy actions that are gender equal. The handbook is available in six languages here.
